2 Samuel 7:11-16

11 afrom the time that I appointed judges over my people Israel. And bI will give you rest from all your enemies. Moreover, the Lord declares to you that cthe Lord will make you a house. 12 dWhen your days are fulfilled and eyou lie down with your fathers, fI will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 gHe shall build a house for my name, and hI will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 iI will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, jI will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men, 15 kbut my steadfast love will not depart from him, las I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you. 16 mAnd your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me.

25And now, O Lord God, confirm forever the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, and do as you have spoken.

1 Chronicles 17:11-15

11When your days are fulfilled to walk with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. 12He shall build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 pI will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. I will not take my steadfast love from him, qas I took it from him who was before you, 14but I will confirm him in my house and in my kingdom forever, and his throne shall be established forever.’” 15In accordance with all these words, and in accordance with all this vision, Nathan spoke to David.

1 Chronicles 22:9-11

9Behold, a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of rest. rI will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies. sFor his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days. 10 tHe shall build a house for my name. uHe shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish his royal throne in Israel forever.’

11Now, my son, vthe Lord be with you, so that you may succeed in building the house of the Lord your God, as he has spoken concerning you.

1 Chronicles 28:5-7

5And of wall my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons) he xhas chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel. 6He said to me, ‘It is ySolomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. 7I will establish his kingdom zforever aaif he continues strong in keeping my commandments and my rules, as he is today.’

Psalms 89:29-37

29I will establish his aboffspring forever
and his acthrone as adthe days of the heavens.

31if they violate my statutes
and do not keep my commandments,
