2 Samuel 7:12-13

12 ^aWhen your days are fulfilled and ^byou lie down with your fathers, ^cI will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 ^dHe shall build a house for my name, and ^eI will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

1 Chronicles 17:11

11 When your days are fulfilled to walk with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom.

1 Chronicles 28:5-7

5 And of ^fall my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons) he ^ghas chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel. 6 He said to me, ‘It is ^hSolomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. 7 I will establish his kingdom ⁱforever ^jif he continues strong in keeping my commandments and my rules, as he is today.’
