2 Samuel 7:14-15

2 Samuel 12:9-12

9 eWhy have you despised the word of the Lord, fto do what is evil in his sight? gYou have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and hhave taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ 11Thus says the Lord, ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. 12For you did it secretly, ibut I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun.’”

1 Kings 13:24

24And as he went away ja lion met him on the road and killed him. And his body was thrown in the road, and the donkey stood beside it; the lion also stood beside the body.

Jeremiah 25:29

29For behold, kI begin to work disaster at the city that is called by my name, and shall you go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, lfor I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the Lord of hosts.’

1 Corinthians 11:30-32

30That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some mhave died.
Greek have fallen asleep (as in 15:6, 20)
31 oBut if we judged
Or discerned
ourselves truly, we would not be judged.
32But when we are judged by the Lord, qwe are disciplined
Or  when we are judged we are being disciplined by the Lord
so that we may not be scondemned along with the world.
