15So David reigned over all Israel. And David administered justice and equity to all his people.

Psalms 72:1-4

Give the King Your Justice

Of aSolomon.

1 Give the king your bjustice, O God,
and your righteousness to the royal son!
2May he cjudge your people with righteousness,
and your poor with justice!
3Let the mountains bear dprosperity for the people,
and the hills, in righteousness!
4May he defend the cause of the poor of the people,
give deliverance to the children of the needy,
and crush the oppressor!

Psalms 72:12-14

12 For he delivers ethe needy when he calls,
the poor and him who has no helper.
13He has pity on the weak and the needy,
and saves the lives of the needy.
14From oppression and violence he redeems their life,
and fprecious is their blood in his sight.

Psalms 82:2-4

2How long will you judge unjustly
and gshow partiality to hthe wicked?  Selah
3 iGive justice to jthe weak and the fatherless;
kmaintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 lRescue the weak and the needy;
mdeliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

Jeremiah 5:28

28 nthey have grown fat and sleek.
They know no bounds in deeds of evil;
othey judge not with justice
the cause of the fatherless, to make it prosper,
and they do not defend the rights of the needy.

Jeremiah 22:2-3

2and say, pHear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David, you, and your servants, and your people who enter these gates. 3Thus says the Lord: qDo justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And rdo no wrong or violence sto the resident alien, tthe fatherless, and the widow, nor ushed innocent blood in this place.

Jeremiah 22:15-17

15Do you think you are a king
because you compete in cedar?
Did not your father eat and drink
and vdo justice and righteousness?
wThen it was well with him.
16 xHe judged the cause of the poor and needy;
ythen it was well.
Is not this zto know me?
declares the Lord.
17But you have eyes and heart
only for your dishonest gain,
aafor shedding innocent blood,
and for practicing oppression and violence.”

Jeremiah 23:5

5 abBehold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous acBranch, and adhe shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
