2 Thessalonians 1:3

Thanksgiving

3 aWe ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

2 Peter 1:5-10

5For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith cwith virtue,
Or excellence; twice in this verse
and virtue ewith knowledge,
6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control fwith steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7and godliness gwith brotherly affection, and brotherly affection hwith love. 8For if these qualities
Greek  these things; also verses 9, 10, 12
are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or junfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he kis blind, having forgotten that he was lcleansed from his former sins. 10Therefore, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and nelection, for if you practice these qualities oyou will never fall.

2 Peter 3:18

18But pgrow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. qTo him be the glory both now and to the day of reternity. Amen.
