2 Timothy 3:15-17

15and how afrom childhood you have been acquainted with bthe sacred writings, cwhich are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 dAll Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17that ethe man of God
That is, a messenger of God (the phrase echoes a common Old Testament expression)
may be complete, gequipped hfor every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21

19And iwe have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention jas to a lamp shining in a dark place, until kthe day ldawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. 21For mno prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God nas they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
