of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.
20For if, nafter they have escaped the defilements of the world othrough the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, pthe last state has become worse for them than the first.

Or  are blemishes
aaat your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, abshepherds feeding themselves; acwaterless clouds, adswept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, aeuprooted;
13 afwild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of agtheir own shame; ahwandering stars, aifor whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
