The Promise of the Holy Spirit

1In the first book, O aTheophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began bto do and teach,

Acts 20:18-21

18And when they came to him, he said to them:

c“You yourselves know dhow I lived among you the whole time efrom the first day that I set foot in Asia,
19 fserving the Lord gwith all humility and with htears and with trials that happened to me through ithe plots of the Jews; 20how I jdid not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and kteaching you in public and from house to house, 21 ltestifying both to Jews and to Greeks of mrepentance toward God and of nfaith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 4:12-16

12 oLet no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers pan example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 13Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. 14 qDo not neglect the gift you have, which was given you rby prophecy when the council of elders slaid their hands on you. 15Practice these things, immerse yourself in them,
Greek be in them
so that uall may see your progress.
16 vKeep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save wboth yourself and xyour hearers.

Titus 2:6-7

6Likewise, urge ythe younger men to be self-controlled. 7Show yourself in all respects to be za model of good works, and in your teaching aashow integrity, abdignity,

1 Peter 5:2-3

2 acshepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight,
