Peter Reports to the Church

1Now the apostles and athe brothers
Or  brothers and sisters
who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

Acts 13:47-48

47 cFor so the Lord has commanded us, saying,

d“‘I have made you ea light for the Gentiles,
that you may fbring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
48And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and gglorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Acts 14:27

27And when they arrived and gathered the church together, hthey declared all that God had done with them, and ihow he had jopened ka door of faith to the Gentiles.

Acts 22:21-22

21And he said to me, Go, for I will send you lfar away to the Gentiles.’

29Or ois God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30since pGod is onewho will justify the circumcised by faith and qthe uncircumcised through faith.

Israel’s Unbelief

30What shall we say, then? rThat Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, sa righteousness that is by faith;

Romans 10:12-13

12 tFor there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; ufor the same Lord is Lord of all, vbestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13For weveryone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 15:9-16

9and in order xthat the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written,

yTherefore I will praise you among the Gentiles,
and sing to your name.”
10And again it is said,

zRejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.”
11And again,

aaPraise the Lord, all you Gentiles,
and let all the peoples extol him.”
12And again Isaiah says,

ab, ac“The root of Jesse will come,
even he who arises to rule the Gentiles;
adin him will the Gentiles hope.”
13May the God of hope fill you with all aejoy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Paul the Minister to the Gentiles

14 afI myself am satisfied about you, my brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters; also verse 30
that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with ahall knowledge and able to instruct one another.
15But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, aibecause of the grace given me by God 16to be aja minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles akin the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that althe offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
