Acts 13:2-3

2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, ^athe Holy Spirit said, ^b“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul ^cfor the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and ^dpraying they laid their hands on them and ^esent them off.

Acts 14:23

23 And when they had ^fappointed ^gelders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting ^hthey committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

1 Corinthians 9:27
