38Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, athat through this man bforgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39and by him ceveryone who believes is freed

Romans 3:27-28

27 lThen what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28For we hold that one is justified by faith mapart from works of the law.

2For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but nnot before God.

The Promise Realized Through Faith

13For othe promise to Abraham and his offspring pthat he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith. 14 qFor if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void. 15For rthe law brings wrath, but swhere there is no law tthere is no transgression.

Philippians 3:9

9and be found in him, not having ua righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but vthat which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith
