45 aBut bwhen the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with cjealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, dreviling him.

Greek Ioudaioi probably refers here to Jewish religious leaders, and others under their influence, in that time
incited the devout gwomen of high standing and the leading men of the city, hstirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and idrove them out of their district.
51But they jshook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium.
