Paul and Barnabas at Iconium

1Now at Iconium athey entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. 2 bBut the cunbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against dthe brothers.

3So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for fthe Lord, who bore witness to gthe word of his grace, hgranting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. 4But the people of the city iwere divided; jsome sided with the Jews and some with the apostles.

Acts 17:2-4

2And Paul went in, kas was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them lfrom the Scriptures, 3 mexplaining and proving that it was necessary for nthe Christ to suffer and oto rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.” 4And psome of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did qa great many of the devout rGreeks and not a few of the leading women.
