Acts 15:1

The Jerusalem Council

1 aBut some men came down from Judea and were teaching bthe brothers, “Unless you are ccircumcised daccording to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

Acts 15:24

24Since we have heard that esome persons have gone out from us and ftroubled you

with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,

Acts 16:3-4

3Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he htook him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 4As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered to them for observance ithe decisions jthat had been reached by kthe apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem.

Romans 9:31-32

31but that Israel lwho pursued a law that would lead to righteousness
Greek  a law of righteousness
ndid not succeed in reaching that law.
32Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the ostumbling stone,

Romans 10:2-3

2For I bear them witness that pthey have a zeal for God, qbut not according to knowledge. 3For, being ignorant of rthe righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

Galatians 2:3-5

3But even Titus, who was with me, swas not forced to be circumcised, though he was a Greek. 4 tYet because of false brothers secretly brought inwho uslipped in to spy out vour freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, wso that they might bring us into slavery 5to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that xthe truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.

Galatians 5:4

4You are ysevered from Christ, zyou who would be justified
Or counted righteous
by the law; abyou have fallen away from grace.

Galatians 5:6

6For in Christ Jesus acneither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but adonly faith working through love.

Hebrews 4:2

2For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because aethey were not united by faith with those who listened.
