Romans 14:14-17

14I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus hthat nothing is unclean in itself, ibut it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. 15For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, jyou are no longer walking in love. kBy what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died. 16 lSo do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. 17 mFor the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but nof righteousness and opeace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 8:7-13

7However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, uthrough former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and vtheir conscience, being weak, is defiled. 8 wFood will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do. 9But take care xthat this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block yto the weak. 10For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating
Greek reclining at table
in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged,
Or fortified; Greek built up
if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols?
11And so by your knowledge this weak person is abdestroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. 12Thus, sinning against your brothers
Or  brothers and sisters
and adwounding their conscience when it is weak, aeyou sin against Christ.
13Therefore, afif food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.
