7 And after there had been much ^adebate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, ^bthat by my mouth the Gentiles should hear ^cthe word of ^dthe gospel and believe. 8 And God, ^ewho knows the heart, ^fbore witness to them, ^gby giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, 9 and ^hhe made no distinction between us and them, ⁱhaving cleansed their hearts ^jby faith. 10 Now, therefore, why ^kare you putting God to the test ^lby placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples ^mthat neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? 11 But we ⁿbelieve that we will be ^osaved through ^pthe grace of the Lord Jesus, ^qjust as they will.”
