district of Macedonia and da Roman colony. We remained in this city some days.
13And eon the Sabbath day we went outside the gate fto the riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer, and we gsat down and spoke to the women who had come together. 14One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, hwho was a worshiper of God. The Lord iopened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. 15And after she was baptized, jand her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she kprevailed upon us.

2And having found a ship crossing to Phoenicia, we went aboard and set sail. 3When we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left we sailed to Syria and landed at Tyre, for there the ship was to unload its cargo. 4And having sought out the disciples, we stayed there for seven days. And xthrough the Spirit they were telling Paul not to go on to Jerusalem. 5When our days there were ended, we departed and went on our journey, and they all, with wives and children, yaccompanied us until we were outside the city. And zkneeling down on the beach, we prayed 6and said farewell to one another. Then we went on board the ship, and they returned home.
