Paul in Macedonia and Greece

1After the uproar ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, and after encouraging them, he said farewell and bdeparted for Macedonia. 2When he had gone through those regions and had given them much encouragement, he came to Greece. 3There he spent three months, and when ca plot was made against him by the Jews
Greek Ioudaioi probably refers here to Jewish religious leaders, and others under their influence, in that time; also verse 19
as he was about to set sail for Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia.
4Sopater the Berean, son of Pyrrhus, accompanied him; and of the Thessalonians, eAristarchus and Secundus; and fGaius of Derbe, and gTimothy; and the Asians, hTychicus and iTrophimus. 5These went on ahead and were waiting for jus at kTroas, 6but we sailed away from Philippi after lthe days of Unleavened Bread, and in five days we came to them at Troas, where we stayed for seven days.

Acts 20:8

8There were many lamps in mthe upper room where we were gathered.
