Acts 17:26-31

26And ahe made from one man every nation of mankind to live bon all the face of the earth, chaving determined allotted periods and dthe boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 ethat they should seek God, fand perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. gYet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28for

h“‘In him we live and move and have our being’;
Probably from Epimenides of Crete

as even some of jyour own poets have said,

“‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
From Aratus’s poem “Phainomena”

29 lBeing then God’s offspring, mwe ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. 30 nThe times of ignorance oGod overlooked, but pnow he qcommands all people everywhere to repent, 31because he has fixed ra day on which she will judge the world tin righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and uof this he has given assurance to all vby raising him from the dead.”
