Acts 17:4-10

4And asome of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did ba great many of the devout cGreeks and not a few of the leading women. 5 dBut the Jews
Greek Ioudaioi probably refers here to Jewish religious leaders, and others under their influence, in that time; also verse 13
fwere jealous, and taking gsome wicked men of the rabble, they formed a mob, set the city in an uproar, and attacked the house of Jason, seeking to bring them out to the crowd.

1 Corinthians 4:9-13

9For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, nlike men sentenced to death, because we ohave become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men. 10 pWe are fools for Christ’s sake, but qyou are wise in Christ. rWe are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute. 11To the present hour swe hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and tbuffeted and uhomeless, 12and we vlabor, working with our own hands. wWhen reviled, we bless; xwhen persecuted, we endure; 13when slandered, we entreat. yWe have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, zthe refuse of all things.

2 Corinthians 11:23-28

23Are they aaservants of Christ? abI am a better one—I am talking like a madmanwith far greater labors, acfar more imprisonments, adwith countless beatings, and aeoften near death. 24Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the afforty lashes less one. 25Three times I was agbeaten with rods. ahOnce I was stoned. Three times I aiwas shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, ajdanger from my own people, akdanger from Gentiles, aldanger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 amin toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, anin hunger and thirst, often without food,
Or  often in fasting
in cold and exposure.
28And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for apall the churches.
