Paul in Corinth

1After this Paul
Greek he
left Athens and went to Corinth.
2And he found a Jew named bAquila, a native of Pontus, recently come from Italy with his wife cPriscilla, because dClaudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. And he went to see them, 3and ebecause he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.

Acts 20:34

34 fYou yourselves know that gthese hands ministered to my necessities and hto those who were with me.

1 Corinthians 4:10-12

10 iWe are fools for Christ’s sake, but jyou are wise in Christ. kWe are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute. 11To the present hour lwe hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and mbuffeted and nhomeless, 12and we olabor, working with our own hands. pWhen reviled, we bless; qwhen persecuted, we endure;

1 Corinthians 9:6

6Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living?

1 Corinthians 9:12

12If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more?

Nevertheless, rwe have not made use of this right, but we endure anything srather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

1 Corinthians 9:14-18

14In the same way, the Lord commanded that tthose who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.

15But uI have made no use of any of these rights, nor am I writing these things to secure any such provision. For I would rather die than have anyone vdeprive me of my ground for boasting. 16For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For wnecessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 17For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with xa stewardship. 18What then is my reward? That in my preaching yI may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

2 Corinthians 10:1

Paul Defends His Ministry

1 zI, Paul, myself entreat you, by the aameekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!—

2 Corinthians 12:13

13For in what were you less favored than the rest of the churches, except that abI myself did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!

1 Thessalonians 2:9

9For you remember, brothers, acour labor and toil: we adworked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.
