Acts 18:24-28

Apollos Speaks Boldly in Ephesus

24Now a Jew named aApollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, bcompetent in the Scriptures. 25He had been instructed in cthe way of the Lord. And dbeing fervent in spirit,
Or  in the Spirit
he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only fthe baptism of John.
26He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when gPriscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him hthe way of God more accurately. 27And when he wished to cross to iAchaia, jthe brothers encouraged him and kwrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he arrived, lhe greatly helped those who through grace had believed, 28for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by the Scriptures mthat the Christ was Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:12

12What I mean is that neach one of you says, “I follow Paul,” orI follow oApollos,” orI follow pCephas,” orI follow Christ.”

1 Corinthians 3:4-7

4For qwhen one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” rare you not being merely human?

5What then is Apollos? What is Paul? sServants through whom you believed, tas the Lord assigned to each. 6 uI planted, vApollos watered, wbut God gave the growth. 7So xneither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

1 Corinthians 16:12

Final Instructions

12Now concerning your brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will
Or God’s will for him
to come now. He will come when he has opportunity.
