Paul’s Visions and His Thorn

1I must go on boasting. Though there is nothing to be gained by it, I will go on to visions and adrevelations of the Lord. 2I know a man aein Christ who fourteen years ago was afcaught up to agthe third heavenwhether in the body or out of the body I do not know, ahGod knows. 3And I know that this man was caught up into aiparadisewhether in the body or out of the body I do not know, ajGod knows 4and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter. 5On behalf of this man I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, akexcept of my weaknesses 6though if I should wish to boast, alI would not be a fool, for I would be speaking the truth; but I refrain from it, so that no one may think more of me than he sees in me or hears from me. 7So amto keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations,
Or  hears from me, even because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations. So to keep me from becoming conceited
aoa thorn was given me in the flesh, apa messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.

Galatians 1:12

12 aqFor I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it arthrough a revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:2

2I went up because of a revelation and set before them (though privately before those aswho seemed influential) the gospel that atI proclaim among the Gentiles, auin order to make sure I was not running or had not avrun in vain.
