22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, ^aa man attested to you by God ^bwith ^cmighty works and wonders and signs that ^dGod did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— 23 this Jesus, ^{▼▼Greek this one} ^fdelivered up according to ^gthe definite plan and ^hforeknowledge of God, ⁱyou crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. 24 ^jGod raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because ^kit was not possible for him to be held by it. 25 For David says concerning him,

^l“‘I saw the Lord always before me,
for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;
26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
my flesh also will dwell ^min hope.
27 For you will not abandon my soul to ⁿHades,
^oor let your ^pHoly One ^qsee corruption.
28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’
29 “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about ^rthe patriarch David ^sthat he both died and ^twas buried, and ^uhis tomb is with us to this day. 30 ^vBeing therefore a prophet, and knowing that ^wGod had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that ^xhe was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus ^yGod raised up, ^zand of that we all are witnesses. 33 ^aaBeing therefore ^abexalted at the right hand of God, and having received from ^acthe Father ^adthe promise of the Holy Spirit, ^aehe has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34 For ^afDavid did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

^ag“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
35 until I make your enemies your footstool.”’
36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that ^ahGod has made him ^aiboth Lord and Christ, this Jesus ^ajwhom you crucified.”

37 Now when ^akthey heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, ^alwhat shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, ^am“Repent and ^anbe baptized every one of you ^aoin the name of Jesus Christ ^apfor the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ^aqthe gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 3:14-19

14 But you denied ^arthe Holy and ^asRighteous One, and ^atasked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and you killed ^authe Author of life, ^avwhom God raised from the dead. Acts 7:51-54

51 ^bi“You stiff-necked people, ^bjuncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. ^bkAs your fathers did, so do you. 52 ^blWhich of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? Romans 3:19-20

19 Now we know that whatever ^bxthe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, ^byso that every mouth may be stopped, and ^bzthe whole world may be held accountable to God. 20 For ^caby works of the law no human being ^{▼▼Greek flesh} will be justified in his sight, since ^ccthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

1 Thessalonians 2:15-16
