Acts 2:25-32

25For David says concerning him,

a“‘I saw the Lord always before me,
for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;
26therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
my flesh also will dwell bin hope.
27For you will not abandon my soul to cHades,
dor let your eHoly One fsee corruption.
28You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’
29Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about gthe patriarch David hthat he both died and iwas buried, and jhis tomb is with us to this day. 30 kBeing therefore a prophet, and knowing that lGod had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that mhe was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32This Jesus nGod raised up, oand of that we all are witnesses.

Acts 13:29-37

29And when pthey had carried out all that was written of him, qthey took him down from rthe tree and laid him in a tomb. 30But sGod raised him from the dead, 31and for many days the appeared to those uwho had come up with him vfrom Galilee to Jerusalem, wwho are now xhis witnesses to the people. 32And we bring you the good news ythat what God promised to the fathers, 33 zthis he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm,

aa“‘You are my Son,
today I have begotten you.’
34And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, ab, acno more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way,

“‘I will give you adthe holy and sure blessings of David.’
35Therefore he says also in another psalm,

ae“‘You will not let your Holy One see corruption.’
36For David, after he had afserved the purpose of God in his own generation, agfell asleep and ahwas laid with his fathers and saw corruption, 37but he whom aiGod raised up did not see corruption.
