36Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that hGod has made him iboth Lord and Christ, this Jesus jwhom you crucified.”

37Now when kthey heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, lwhat shall we do?” 38And Peter said to them, mRepent and nbe baptized every one of you oin the name of Jesus Christ pfor the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive qthe gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For rthe promise is for you and sfor your children and for all twho are far off, everyone uwhom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, vSave yourselves from this wcrooked generation.” 41So those who received his word were baptized, and xthere were added that day about three thousand souls.
