Acts 2:38-41

38And Peter said to them, aRepent and bbe baptized every one of you cin the name of Jesus Christ dfor the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ethe gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For fthe promise is for you and gfor your children and for all hwho are far off, everyone iwhom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, jSave yourselves from this kcrooked generation.” 41So those who received his word were baptized, and lthere were added that day about three thousand souls.
