Acts 20:33-35

33 aI coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. 34 bYou yourselves know that cthese hands ministered to my necessities and dto those who were with me. 35In all things eI have shown you that fby working hard in this way we must ghelp the weak and hremember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed ito give than to receive.’

1 Thessalonians 2:5-9

5 jFor we never came with words of flattery,
Or  with a flattering speech
as you know, nor with a pretext for greedlGod is witness.
6 mNor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, nthough we could have made odemands as papostles of Christ. 7But we were qgentle

among you, slike a nursing mother taking care of her own children.
8So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God tbut also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.

9For you remember, brothers, uour labor and toil: we vworked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.
