Acts 20:34-35

34 aYou yourselves know that bthese hands ministered to my necessities and cto those who were with me. 35In all things dI have shown you that eby working hard in this way we must fhelp the weak and gremember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed hto give than to receive.’

1 Corinthians 4:12

12and we ilabor, working with our own hands. jWhen reviled, we bless; kwhen persecuted, we endure;

1 Corinthians 9:6-12

6Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living? 7 lWho serves as a soldier at his own expense? mWho plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Or who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?

8Do I say these things on human authority? Does not the Law say the same? 9For it is written in the Law of Moses, n“You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned? 10Does he not certainly speak for our sake? It was written ofor our sake, because pthe plowman should plow in hope and the thresher thresh in hope of sharing in the crop. 11 qIf we have sown spiritual things among you, is it too much if we reap material things from you? 12If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more?

Nevertheless, rwe have not made use of this right, but we endure anything srather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:9

9And when I was with you and was tin need, uI did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia vsupplied my need. So I refrained and will refrain wfrom burdening you in any way.

1 Thessalonians 2:9

9For you remember, brothers, xour labor and toil: we yworked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

2 Thessalonians 3:8-9

8nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but zwith toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. 9It was aanot because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves aban example to imitate.
