Acts 21:31-32

31 ^aAnd as they were seeking to kill him, word came to the tribune of ^bthe cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion. 32 ^cHe at once took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. And when they saw the tribune and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.

Acts 23:10

10 And when the dissension became violent, the tribune, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him away from among them by force and bring him into ^dthe barracks.

Acts 23:27
