22Up to this word they listened to him. Then they raised their voices and said, b“Away with such a fellow from the earth! For che should not be allowed to live.” 23And as they were shouting and throwing off their cloaks and flinging dust into the air, 24the tribune ordered him to be brought into dthe barracks, saying that he should be eexamined by flogging, to find out why they were shouting against him like this.Ephesians 3:1-8
The Mystery of the Gospel Revealed
1For this reason I, Paul, fa prisoner of Christ Jesus gon behalf of you Gentiles— 2assuming that you have heard of hthe stewardship of iGod’s grace that was given to me for you, 3 jhow the mystery was made known to me kby revelation, las I have written briefly. 4 mWhen you read this, you can perceive my insight into nthe mystery of Christ, 5which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. 6This mystery is ▼▼The words This mystery is are inferred from verse 4
that the Gentiles are pfellow heirs, qmembers of the same body, and rpartakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 7 sOf this gospel I was made ta minister according to the gift of uGod’s grace, which was given me vby the working of his power. 8To me, wthough I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, xto preach to the Gentiles the yunsearchable zriches of Christ,
1 Thessalonians 2:16
16 aaby hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved—so as always abto fill up the measure of their sins. But acwrath has come upon them at last! ▼▼Or completely, or forever
