23For this very night athere bstood before me can angel of the God dto whom I belong and ewhom I worship, 24and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; fyou must stand before Caesar. And behold, gGod has granted you all those who sail with you.’2 Corinthians 12:1-4
Paul’s Visions and His Thorn
1I must go on boasting. Though there is nothing to be gained by it, I will go on to visions and hrevelations of the Lord. 2I know a man iin Christ who fourteen years ago was jcaught up to kthe third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, lGod knows. 3And I know that this man was caught up into mparadise—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, nGod knows— 4and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter.2 Corinthians 12:7
7So oto keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, ▼▼Or hears from me, even because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations. So to keep me from becoming conceited
