Acts 28:26-27

26 ^a“‘Go to this people, and say,
^b“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
27 ^cFor this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and ^dturn, and I would heal them.’

Romans 11:7-10

7 What then? ^eIsrael failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest ^fwere hardened, 8 as it is written,

^g“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
^heyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”
9 And David says,

ⁱ“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
10 let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see,
and bend their backs forever.”
