6Now when Paul perceived that one part were dSadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Brothers, eI am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is fwith respect to the ghope and the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial.” 7And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. 8For the Sadducees hsay that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all. 9Then a great clamor arose, and some of ithe scribes of the Phariseesparty stood up and contended sharply, j“We find nothing wrong in this man. 1 Corinthians 15:13-18

13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, lthen not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. 15We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that mhe raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and nyou are still in your sins. 18Then those also who ohave fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

2 Timothy 2:18
