2And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, “It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables. 3 hTherefore, brothers,

The Cheerful Giver

6The point is this: owhoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully
Greek with blessings; twice in this verse
will also reap bountifully.
7Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, qnot reluctantly or under compulsion, for rGod loves a cheerful giver. 8And sGod is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency
Or  all contentment
in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
9As it is written,

u“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”
10He who supplies vseed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and wincrease the harvest of your righteousness. 11 xYou will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which ythrough us will produce thanksgiving to God. 12For the ministry of this service is not only supplying zthe needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 13By their approval of this service, aathey
Or you
will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your acconfession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others,
14while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. 15 adThanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

1 John 3:16-18

16By this we know love, that aehe laid down his life for us, and afwe ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17But agif anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet ahcloses his heart against him, aihow does God’s love abide in him? 18Little children, let us not ajlove in word or talk but in deed and akin truth.
