The Conversion of Saul

1 But Saul, ^astill ^bbreathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to ^cthe high priest 2 and asked him for letters ^dto the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to ^ethe Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

Acts 22:5

5 as ^fthe high priest and ^gthe whole council of elders can bear me witness. From them I received letters to ^hthe brothers, and I journeyed toward Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to Jerusalem to be punished.
