Acts 9:36-41

Dorcas Restored to Life

36Now there was in aJoppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.
The Aramaic name  Tabitha and the Greek name  Dorcas both mean gazelle
She was full of cgood works and acts of charity.
37In those days she became ill and died, and when they had washed her, they laid her in dan upper room. 38Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, urging him, e“Please come to us without delay.” 39So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to fthe upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics

40But Peter hput them all outside, and iknelt down and prayed; and turning to the body jhe said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. 41And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

Acts 16:14-18

14One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, kwho was a worshiper of God. The Lord lopened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. 15And after she was baptized, mand her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she nprevailed upon us.

16As we were going to othe place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had pa spirit of qdivination and rbrought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. 17She followed Paul and us, scrying out, “These men are tservants

of vthe Most High God, who proclaim to you wthe way of salvation.”
18And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, x“I command you yin the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And zit came out that very hour.

Romans 16:2-4

2that you aamay welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well.

3Greet abPrisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, 4who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well.

10and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has akshown hospitality, alhas washed the feet of the saints, has amcared for the afflicted, and has andevoted herself to every good work.
