Amo 1:6-10, 12-14, Zec 9:2-8 | ESV | STEP | Thus says the Lord : For three transgressions of Gaza , and for four , I will not revoke the punishment , because they carried into exile a whole people to deliver them up to Edom .

6 Thus says the Lord:

^a“For three transgressions of ^bGaza,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because ^cthey carried into exile a whole people
to deliver them up to Edom.
7 So I will send a fire upon the wall of ^dGaza,
and it shall devour her strongholds.
8 I will cut off the inhabitants from ^eAshdod,
and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon;
I will turn my hand against Ekron,
and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish,”

says the Lord God.
9 Thus says the Lord:

^f“For three transgressions of ^gTyre,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because they delivered up a whole people to Edom,
and did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.
10 So I will send a fire upon the wall of ^hTyre,
and it shall devour her strongholds.”

Amos 1:12-14

12 So I will send a fire upon ⁱTeman,
and it shall devour the strongholds of ^jBozrah.”
13 Thus says the Lord:

^k“For three transgressions of the ^lAmmonites,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because ^mthey have ripped open pregnant women in ⁿGilead,
that they might enlarge their border.
14 So I will kindle a fire in the wall of ^oRabbah,
^pand it shall devour her strongholds,
with shouting on the day of battle,
^qwith a tempest in the day of the whirlwind;

Zechariah 9:2-8

2 ^rand on Hamath also, which borders on it,
^sTyre and ^tSidon, though ^uthey are very wise.
3 Tyre has built herself ^va rampart
and ^wheaped up silver like dust,
and fine gold like the mud of the streets.
4 But behold, the Lord will strip her of her possessions
and strike down ^xher power on the sea,
and ^yshe shall be devoured by fire.
5 ^zAshkelon shall see it, and be afraid;
Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish;
Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded.
The king shall perish from Gaza;
Ashkelon shall be uninhabited;
6 ^aaa mixed people ^{▼▼Or a foreign people; Hebrew a bastard} shall dwell in Ashdod,
and I will cut off the pride of Philistia.
7 I will take away ^acits blood from its mouth,
and ^adits abominations from between its teeth;
^aeit too shall be a remnant for our God;
it shall be like ^afa clan in Judah,
and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.
8 Then ^agI will encamp at my house as a guard,
^ahso that none shall march to and fro;
^aino oppressor shall again march over them,
^ajfor now I see with my own eyes.
