1 “Hear this word, ^ayou cows of Bashan,
who are ^bon the mountain of Samaria,
^cwho oppress the poor, ^dwho crush the needy,
who say to your husbands, ‘Bring, that we may drink!’

Amos 5:11-12

11 Therefore because you ^etrample on ^{▼▼Or you tax} the poor
and you exact taxes of grain from him,
^gyou have built houses of hewn stone,
but you shall not dwell in them;
^hyou have planted pleasant vineyards,
but you shall not drink their wine.
12 For I know how many are your transgressions
and how great are your sins—
you who afflict the righteous, who ⁱtake a bribe,

Micah 2:1-3

Woe to the Oppressors
