Amos 4:7-8

7 I also awithheld the rain from you
when there were yet three months to the harvest;
bI would send rain on one city,
and send no rain on another city;
one field would have rain,
and the field on which it did not rain would wither;
8so two or three cities cwould wander to another city
to drink water, and would not be satisfied;
dyet you did not return to me,”

declares the Lord.

Matthew 5:45

45 eso that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and fsends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Patience in Suffering

7Be patient, therefore, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters; also verses 9, 10, 12, 19
until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives nthe early and the late rains.

James 5:17-18

17Elijah was a man owith a nature like ours, and phe prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for qthree years and six months it did not rain on the earth. 18 rThen he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.

Revelation of John 11:6

6They have the power sto shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and tto strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire.
