Amos 7:15-17

15 aBut the Lord took me from following the flock, and the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ 16 bNow therefore hear the word of the Lord.

You say, c‘Do not prophesy against Israel,
and ddo not preach against the house of eIsaac.’
17 fTherefore thus says the Lord:

“‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city,
and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword,
and your land gshall be divided up with a measuring line;
you yourself shall die in an unclean land,
and hIsrael shall surely go into exile away from its land.’”

Matthew 23:16-18

16Woe to iyou, jblind guides, who say, kIf anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’ 17You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or lthe temple that has made the gold sacred? 18And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by mthe gift that is on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’

Mark 7:10-13

10For Moses said, nHonor your father and your mother’; and, o‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ 11But you say, ‘If a man tells his father or his mother, “Whatever you would have gained from me is Corban”’ (that is, given to God)
Or an offering
12then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother, 13thus qmaking void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”
