Colossians 2:6-23

Alive in Christ

6 aTherefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 brooted and cbuilt up in him and destablished in the faith, just eas you were taught, abounding fin thanksgiving.

8See to it that no one takes you captive by gphilosophy and hempty deceit, according to ihuman tradition, according to the jelemental spirits
Or elementary principles; also verse 20
of the world, and not according to Christ.
9For lin him the whole fullness of deity dwells mbodily, 10and nyou have been filled in him, who is othe head of all rule and authority. 11In him also pyou were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by qputting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 rhaving been buried with him in baptism, in which syou were also raised with him through faith in tthe powerful working of God, uwho raised him from the dead. 13 vAnd you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God wmade alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14by xcanceling ythe record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 zHe disarmed the rulers and authorities
Probably demonic rulers and authorities
and abput them to open shame, by actriumphing over them in him.
Or  in it (that is, the cross)

Let No One Disqualify You

16Therefore let no one aepass judgment on you afin questions of food and drink, or with regard to aga festival or aha new moon or a Sabbath. 17 aiThese are a shadow of the things to come, but ajthe substance belongs to Christ. 18Let no one akdisqualify you, alinsisting on asceticism and worship of angels, amgoing on in detail about visions,
Or  about the things he has seen
aopuffed up without reason by aphis sensuous mind,
19and aqnot arholding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

20If with Christ asyou died to the atelemental spirits of the world, auwhy, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations 21 av“Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch 22( awreferring to things that all perish as they are used)—according to axhuman precepts and teachings? 23These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in aypromoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are azof no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.
