Daniel’s Faithfulness

8 But Daniel ^aresolved that he would not ^bdefile himself with ^cthe king’s food, or with ^dthe wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to ^edefile himself.

Hosea 9:3-4

3 They shall not remain in ^fthe land of the Lord,
but ^gEphraim shall return to Egypt,
and ^hthey shall eat unclean food in Assyria.
4 ⁱThey shall not pour drink offerings of wine to the Lord,
^jand their sacrifices shall not please him.
