Daniel 2:37-45

37You, O king, ethe king of kings, to whom fthe God of heaven ghas given the kingdom, the power, and the might, and the glory, 38and into whose hand he has given, wherever they dwell, the children of man, hthe beasts of the field, and the birds of the heavens, making you rule over them allyou are ithe head of gold. 39 jAnother kingdom inferior to you shall arise after you, and yet a third kingdom kof bronze, lwhich shall rule over all the earth. 40And mthere shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron, because iron nbreaks to pieces and shatters all things. And like iron that crushes, it shall obreak and crush all these. 41And as you saw pthe feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom, but some of the qfirmness of iron shall be in it, just as you saw iron mixed with the soft clay. 42And as the toes of the feet were partly iron and partly clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly brittle. 43As you saw the iron mixed with soft clay, so they will mix with one another in marriage,

44And in the days of those kings sthe God of heaven will set up ta kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. uIt shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and vit shall stand forever, 45just as wyou saw that xa stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that yit broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A zgreat God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”

2Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent to gather aathe satraps, the prefects, and abthe governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 3Then acthe satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 4And the herald adproclaimed aloud, “You are commanded, O aepeoples, nations, and languages, 5that when you hear the afsound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, you agare to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. 6And whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately ahbe cast into a burning fiery furnace.” 7Therefore, as soon as all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, all aithe peoples, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Daniel 3:15

15Now if you are ready when ajyou hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good.

But if you do not worship, alyou shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And amwho is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”

Daniel 3:19-22

19Then Nebuchadnezzar was anfilled with fury, and the expression of his face aowas changed against apShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated. 20And he ordered some of the mighty men of his army aqto bind arShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21Then these men were asbound in their cloaks, their tunics,

their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace.
22Because the king’s order was auurgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up avShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Daniel 5:19

19And because of the greatness that he gave him, awall peoples, nations, and languages axtrembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he killed, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he raised up, and whom he would, he humbled.
