Daniel 3:16-18

16 aShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17If this be so, bour God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
Or If our God whom we serve is able to deliver us, he will deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and out of your hand, O king.
18But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

Daniel 6:10-11

10When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where dhe had windows in his upper chamber open etoward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees fthree times a day and prayed and ggave thanks before his God, as he had done previously. 11Then these men came by agreement and found Daniel making petition and plea before his God.

Daniel 6:20-23

20As he came near to the den where Daniel was, he cried out in a tone of anguish. The king declared to Daniel, “O Daniel, servant of hthe living God, ihas your God, whom you serve continually, jbeen able to deliver you from the lions?” 21Then Daniel said to the king, k“O king, live forever! 22My God lsent his angel mand shut the lionsmouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless nbefore him; oand also before you, O king, I have done no harm.” 23Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and pno kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

Malachi 1:6-8

The Priests’ Polluted Offerings

6 q“A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am ra father, where is my honor? And if I am sa master, where is my fear? says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. tBut you say, ‘How have we despised your name?’ 7 uBy offering polluted food upon my altar. vBut you say, ‘How have we polluted you?’ By saying that wthe Lord’s table may be despised. 8 xWhen you offer blind animals in sacrifice, is that not evil? And when you offer those that are lame or sick, is that not evil? Present that to your governor; will he accept you or show you favor? says the Lord of hosts.

Malachi 3:8-10

8Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. yBut you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ zIn your tithes and contributions. 9 aaYou are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. 10 abBring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby acput me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open adthe windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Matthew 4:10
