Daniel 3:8-12

The Fiery Furnace

8Therefore at that time certain aChaldeans bcame forward and maliciously accused the Jews. 9They declared
Aramaic answered and said; also verses 24, 26
to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, live forever!
10You, O king, dhave made a decree, that every man who ehears the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, fshall fall down and worship the golden image. 11And whoever does not fall down and worship gshall be cast into a burning fiery furnace. 12There are certain Jews whom you have happointed over the affairs of ithe province of Babylon: jShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, kpay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

Acts 16:19

19But lwhen her owners saw that their hope of gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and mdragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.

Acts 16:24

24Having received this order, he put them into the inner nprison and fastened their feet in othe stocks.

Acts 24:2-9

2And when he had been summoned, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying:

“Since through you we enjoy much peace, and since by your foresight, pmost excellent Felix, reforms are being made for this nation,
3in every way and everywhere we accept this with all gratitude. 4But, to detain

you no further, I beg you in your kindness to hear us briefly.
5For we have found this man a plague, rone who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world and is a ringleader of sthe sect of the Nazarenes. 6 tHe even tried to profane the temple, but we seized him.
Some manuscripts add and we would have judged him according to our law. 7But the chief captain Lysias came and with great violence took him out of our hands, 8commanding his accusers to come before you.
8By examining him yourself you will be able to find out from him about everything of which we accuse him.”

9The Jews also joined in the charge, affirming that all these things were so.
