Daniel 4:12-14

12 aIts leaves were beautiful and its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all. bThe beasts of the field found shade under it, and cthe birds of the heavens lived in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.

13“I saw in dthe visions of my head as I lay in bed, and behold, ea watcher, fa holy one, came down from heaven. 14He gproclaimed aloud and said thus: hChop down the tree and ilop off its branches, jstrip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. kLet the beasts flee from under it and the birds from its branches.

Nahum 3:17-18

17 Your lprinces are mlike grasshoppers,
nyour scribes
Or marshals
like clouds of locusts
settling on the fences
in a day of cold
when the sun rises, they fly away;
no one knows where they are.
18 Your shepherds pare asleep,
O king of Assyria;
qyour nobles slumber.
Your people rare scattered on the mountains
with none to gather them.
