Daniel 5:4-6

4They drank wine and apraised the bgods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

5 cImmediately dthe fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw ethe hand as it wrote. 6 fThen the king’s color changed, gand his thoughts alarmed him; hhis limbs gave way, and ihis knees knocked together.

Amos 8:10

10 jI will turn your feasts into mourning
and all your songs into lamentation;
kI will bring sackcloth on every waist
land baldness on every head;
mI will make it like the mourning for an only son
and the end of it like a bitter day.

Nahum 1:10

10For they are nlike entangled thorns,
like drunkards as they drink;
othey are consumed like stubble fully dried.

Matthew 22:11-13

11But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there pa man who had no wedding garment. 12And he said to him, qFriend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and rcast him into the outer darkness. In that place sthere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

1 Thessalonians 5:3

3While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then tsudden destruction will come upon them uas labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

Revelation of John 18:7-11

7 vAs she glorified herself and lived in luxury,
so give her a like measure of torment and mourning,
since in her heart she says,
w‘I sit as a queen,
I am no widow,
and mourning I shall never see.’
8For this reason her plagues will come xin a single day,
death and mourning and famine,
and yshe will be burned up with fire;
for zmighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
9And aathe kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, abwill weep and wail over her acwhen they see the smoke of her burning. 10 adThey will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,

Alas! Alas! aeYou great city,
you mighty city, Babylon!
For afin a single hour your judgment has come.”
11And agthe merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore,
