Revelation of John 14:8-20

8Another angel, a second, followed, saying, gFallen, fallen is hBabylon the great, ishe who made all nations drink jthe wine of the passion
Or wrath
of her sexual immorality.”

9And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone lworships the beast and its image and receives ma mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10he also will drink nthe wine of God’s wrath, opoured full strength into the cup of his anger, and phe will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11And qthe smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and rthey have no rest, day or night, these sworshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

12 tHere is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who ukeep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.
Greek  and the faith of Jesus

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: wBlessed are the dead xwho die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, ythat they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

The Harvest of the Earth

14Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one zlike a son of man, aawith a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15And another angel abcame out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, acPut in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for adthe harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped.

17Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18And another angel came out from the altar, aethe angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, affor its grapes are ripe.” 19So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great agwinepress of the wrath of God. 20And ahthe winepress was trodden aioutside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as aja horse’s bridle, for 1,600 stadia.
About 184 miles; a stadion was about 607 feet or 185 meters

Revelation of John 16

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath

1Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling althe seven angels, “Go and ampour out on the earth anthe seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

2So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful aosores came upon the people who bore apthe mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

3The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and aqit became like the blood of a corpse, and arevery living thing died that was in the sea.

4The third angel poured out his bowl into asthe rivers and the springs of water, and atthey became blood. 5And I heard the angel in charge of the waters
Greek  angel of the waters
say,

avJust are you, awO Holy One, axwho is and who was,
for you brought these judgments.
6For aythey have shed the blood of azsaints and prophets,
and bayou have given them blood to drink.
It is what they deserve!”
7And I heard bbthe altar saying,

Yes, Lord God the Almighty,
bctrue and just are your judgments!”
8The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people bdwith fire. 9They were scorched by the fierce heat, and bethey cursed
Greek blasphemed; also verses 11, 21
the name of God who had power over these plagues. bgThey did not repent bhand give him glory.

10The fifth angel poured out his bowl on bithe throne of the beast, and bjits kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 11and cursed bkthe God of heaven for their pain and blsores. bmThey did not repent of their deeds.

12The sixth angel poured out his bowl on bnthe great river Euphrates, and boits water was dried up, bpto prepare the way for the kings bqfrom the east. 13And I saw, coming out of the mouth of brthe dragon and out of the mouth of bsthe beast and out of the mouth of btthe false prophet, three buunclean spirits like bvfrogs. 14For they are bwdemonic spirits, bxperforming signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, byto assemble them for battle on bzthe great day of God the Almighty. 15(“Behold, caI am coming like a thief! cbBlessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, ccthat he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) 16And cdthey assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called ceArmageddon.

The Seventh Bowl

17The seventh angel poured out his bowl into cfthe air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, cg“It is done!” 18And there were chflashes of lightning, rumblings,
Or voices, or sounds
peals of thunder, and cja great earthquake cksuch as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake.
19 clThe great city cmwas split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God cnremembered coBabylon the great, cpto make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20And cqevery island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. 21And crgreat hailstones, about one hundred pounds

each, fell from heaven on people; and ctthey cursed God for cuthe plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

Revelation of John 17

The Great Prostitute and the Beast

1Then cvone of the seven angels who had cwthe seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of cxthe great prostitute cywho is seated on many waters, 2 czwith whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and dawith the wine of whose sexual immorality dbthe dwellers on earth have become drunk.” 3And dche carried me away in the Spirit ddinto a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on dea scarlet beast that was full of dfblasphemous names, and dgit had seven heads and ten horns. 4The woman dhwas arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned diwith gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand dja golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. 5And on her forehead was written a name of dkmystery: dlBabylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.” 6And I saw the woman, drunk dmwith the blood of the saints, the blood of dnthe martyrs of Jesus.
Greek  the witnesses to Jesus

When I saw her, I marveled greatly.
7But the angel said to me, “Why do you marvel? I will tell you dpthe mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her. 8The beast that you saw dqwas, and is not, and dris about to rise from dsthe bottomless pit
Greek  the abyss
and dugo to destruction. And dvthe dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in dwthe book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because dxit was and is not and is to come.
9 dyThis calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; 10they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while. 11As for the beast dzthat was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction. 12And eathe ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings ebfor one hour, together with the beast. 13These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast. 14They ecwill make war on the Lamb, and edthe Lamb will conquer them, for he is eeLord of lords and efKing of kings, and those with him are egcalled and chosen and faithful.”

15And the angel
Greek he
said to me, ei“The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.
16And ejthe ten horns that you saw, they and the beast ekwill hate the prostitute. They will make her eldesolate and emnaked, and endevour her flesh and eoburn her up with fire, 17for epGod has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and eqhanding over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18And the woman that you saw is erthe great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.”

The Fall of Babylon

1After this I saw esanother angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and etthe earth was made bright with his glory. 2And he called out with a mighty voice,

euFallen, fallen is Babylon the great!
She has become eva dwelling place for demons,
a haunt ewfor every unclean spirit,
a haunt exfor every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.
3For all nations have drunk

ezthe wine of the passion of her sexual immorality,
and fathe kings of the earth have committed immorality with her,
and fbthe merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”
4Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,

fcCome out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;
5for fdher sins are heaped high as heaven,
and feGod has remembered her iniquities.
6 ffPay her back as she herself has paid back others,
and repay her fgdouble for her deeds;
mix a double portion for her fhin the cup she mixed.
7 fiAs she glorified herself and lived in luxury,
so give her a like measure of torment and mourning,
since in her heart she says,
fj‘I sit as a queen,
I am no widow,
and mourning I shall never see.’
8For this reason her plagues will come fkin a single day,
death and mourning and famine,
and flshe will be burned up with fire;
for fmmighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
9And fnthe kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, fowill weep and wail over her fpwhen they see the smoke of her burning. 10 fqThey will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,

Alas! Alas! frYou great city,
you mighty city, Babylon!
For fsin a single hour your judgment has come.”
11And ftthe merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore, 12cargo of gold, silver, jewels, pearls, fine linen, purple cloth, silk, scarlet cloth, all kinds of scented wood, all kinds of articles of ivory, all kinds of articles of costly wood, bronze, iron and marble, 13cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human souls.

15 fvThe merchants of these wares, who gained wealth from her, fwwill stand far off, in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning aloud,

16 Alas, alas, for the great city
fxthat was clothed in fine linen,

17For fyin a single hour all this wealth fzhas been laid waste.”
And gaall shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off
18and gbcried out gcas they saw the smoke of her burning,

gdWhat city was like the great city?”
19And they threw gedust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out,

Alas, alas, for the great city

grew rich by her wealth!
For ggin a single hour she has been laid waste.
20 ghRejoice over her, O heaven,
and you saints and giapostles and prophets,
for gjGod has given judgment for you against her!”
21Then gka mighty angel gltook up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying,

So will Babylon gmthe great city be thrown down with violence,
and will be found no more;
22and gnthe sound of harpists and musicians, of flute players and trumpeters,
will be heard in you no more,
and a craftsman of any craft
will be found in you no more,
and gothe sound of the mill
will be heard in you no more,
23and the light of a lamp
will shine in you no more,
and gpthe voice of bridegroom and bride
will be heard in you no more,
for gqyour merchants were the great ones of the earth,
and all nations were deceived grby your sorcery.
24And gsin her was found the blood of prophets and of saints,
and of gtall who have been slain on earth.”

Revelation of John 19:15-21

15 guFrom his mouth comes a sharp sword gvwith which to strike down the nations, and gwhe will rule them with a rod of iron. gxHe will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh gyhe has a name written, gzKing of kings and Lord of lords.

17Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to haall the birds that fly directly overhead, hbCome, gather for hcthe great supper of God, 18 hdto eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave,

19And I saw hfthe beast and the kings of the earth with their armies hggathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army. 20And the beast was captured, and with it hhthe false prophet hiwho in its presence
