And ^cthe great horn between his eyes is ^dthe first king. 22 ^eAs for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms shall arise from his ^{▼▼Theodotion, Septuagint, Vulgate; Hebrew the} nation, ^gbut not with his power. 23 And at the latter end of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise. 24 His power shall be great— ^hbut not by his own power; and he shall cause fearful destruction ⁱand shall succeed in what he does, ^jand destroy mighty men and the people who are the saints. 25 ^kBy his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind ^lhe shall become great. ^mWithout warning he shall destroy many. And he ⁿshall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken—but ^oby no human hand.

Daniel 11:32-34

32 He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. 33 ^pAnd the wise among the people shall make many understand, though for some days they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plunder. 34 When they stumble, they shall receive a little help. And many shall join themselves to them with flattery,

Joel 3:6-8

6 You have sold ^qthe people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their own border. 7 Behold, I will stir them up from the place to which you have sold them, and ^rI will return your payment on your own head. 8 I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the ^sSabeans, to a nation far away, for the Lord has spoken.”

Micah 4:2-3

2 and many nations shall come, and say:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
